Prof. Jürgen Budday (born 1948) is a German conductor and director of church music. His musical focus lies in historical and contemporary vocal music and in historically informed performances of oratorios, masses and other sacred works. He studied music education, church music and musicology at the Academy of Music in Stuttgart from 1967 to 1974. From 1979 to 2012, he taught at the Evangelical Seminar in Maulbronn, a Protestant boarding school at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Maulbronn abbey with famous former students like Johannes Kepler, Friedrich Hölderlin and Hermann Hesse, and led, from 1979 till 2013, the concert series at Maulbronn monastery as artistic director. In 1992, Jürgen Budday was named Director of Studies, in 1995 came the appointment as Director of Church Music and in 1998 he was honored with the Bundesverdienstkreuz (German Cross of Merit) as well as the Bruno-Frey-Prize from the State Academy in Ochsenhausen for his work in music education. In 1983 Budday founded the Maulbronn Chamber Choir (Maulbronner Kammerchor), which he conducted until June 2016 and with whom he has won numerous national and international awards. At the Prague International Choir Festival, for example, he received an award as best director. Since 2002, Budday has also held the chair of the Choral Committee of the German Music Council and became director and jury chairman of the German Choir Competition (Deutscher Chorwettbewerb). In 2008, he received the silver Johannes-Brenz-Medal, the highest honoring of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Wuerttemberg, following by the awarding with the honorary title Professor in 2011. In May 2013 Prof. Jürgen Budday was awarded by the Association of German Concert Choirs with the George-Frideric-Handel-Ring, one of the highest honors for choir conductors in Germany. Thus Jürgen Budday followed Helmuth Rilling, who was honored with the ring from 2009 till 2013.
Jürgen Budday has started a cycle of Handel oratorios that is planned to span several years, which involves working with soloists like wie Emma Kirkby, Miriam Allan, Michael Chance, Nancy Argenta, Mark Le Brocq, Charles Humphries, Stephen Varcoe (to name but a few). The live recordings of these performances, produced and released by Josef-Stefan Kindler and Andreas Otto Grimminger via their label K&K Verlagsanstalt, received highest praises from reviewers and gave Jürgen Budday's musical work international recognition.

Pawel Przytocki is one of the most talented and exciting young Polish conductors. He studied at the Academy of Music in Kraków, where he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Conducting (1985) under Professor Jerzy Katlewicz. He perfected his skills at the Bartok International Seminar with Peter Eötvös and with the Master Conducting Course at the Oregon Bach Festival in Eugene with Helmuth Rilling. From 1983 to 1987, Przytocki collaborated with the Krakow Philharmonic and, since 1987, with the Grand Opera Theatre in Lodz. From 1988 to 1991, he worked as the Conductor and Music Director of the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra in Gdansk. In May 1990, he made his debut with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw. Since 1995, he has worked with the Orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia and, from 1995 to 1997, was Music Director of the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic Orchestra in Lódz. Przytocki is a regular guest conductor with orchestras throughout Poland as well as with the Budapest Concert Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica de Xalapa in Mexico, Real Filharmonia de Galicia in Spain, Capella Istropolitana in Bratislava, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Halle, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra Ankara, Everett Symphony Orchestra in the United States and the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava. His guest performances and concert tours have led him throughout Europe.
Pawel Przytocki has participated in numerous international music festivals, including the Athens Festival, 1987, the Musikfest Stuttgart, 1988, the Flanders Festival, 1989, La Chaise-Dieu Festival, 1996, the Kissinger Sommer, 1998, the Bratislava Music Festival, 1999, the Prague Spring, 2001 and the Wratislavia Cantans, 2005. Since 2005, Przytocki has been the conductor for the National Opera in Warsaw. During the 2005/2006 and the 2006/2007 season at the National Opera, he conducted Aram Khachaturian's ballet, Spartacus (premiere -November 2005), Tchaikovsky's opera, "Oniegin", Verdi's, "La Traviata", Puccini's "La Boheme" and the ballet, "Oniegin" with choreography by John Cranko (premiere- April 2007). He has made archival recordings for Polish Radio and CDs for DUX, Aurophon and Point Classic. His recording of Rachmaninoff`s First Symphony, in 1991, has been recognized by the American "La Folia Music Review Magazine" as very special.The magazine labeled it one of the world`s five best recordings and compared it favorably to those of Carlos Kleiber and Svjatoslav Richter.

The work of Peter Leipold (born 1987 in Stuttgart), who started his career at the Theater Erfurt and was honored by the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung for his "quality of musical fine drawing", fascinates in his role as a seeker of and servant to the rich facets and colors of music that can be unveiled in the score and by the orchestra, as a conductor who represents the bridge between the musical performer and the score. With the recording of "Concerto for Piano, Timpani and String Orchestra" by Galina Ustvolskaya, Peter Leipold follows his passion for new music, on which he already specialized during his conducting studies for music of the 20th and 21st centuries at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. Since the beginning of his studies Peter Leipold has enjoyed a close friendship with the pianist Patricia Hase (born in 1989 in Wiesbaden). Since then, numerous concerts have led the two young musicians throughout Europe.

Born in Unna (Germany) in 1971, Sebastian Tewinkel started his violin and general music studies at the Hannover University of Music and Drama. He then continued at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts with Thomas Ungar, graduating with a mark of distinction and supplementing with master courses given by Gianluigi Gelmetti and Sir Colin Davis. After his studies Sebastian Tewinkel was awarded a scholarship by the Herbert von Karajan Foundation in Berlin and admitted to the patronage programme "Dirigentenforum" of the "Deutscher Musikrat". Shortly after, he succeeded in winning two important competitons: in 2000 he received the first (and only) prize at the International Conducting Competition of the foundation "Fundação Oriente" at Lisbon, and in 2001 he won the Conductors Award in Bad Homburg. Already early in his career, Sebastian Tewinkel conducted numerous well-known orchestras, among them the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, the NDR Radio Philharmony Hannover, the Halle Philharmonic State Orchestra, the Sofia Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Chamber Orchestra. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, as well as Russia and Japan. With the start of the 2002-03 season, he was appointed Music Director and Chief Conductor of the South-west German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim. He broadened the range of stylistic versatility and developed new programmes for this ensemble of long-standing tradition. Besides working with the Pforzheim Chamber Orchestra, Sebastian Tewinkel continues conducting large orchestras. He was invited by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Hamamatsu Philharmonic in Japan, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the St Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Lisbon Metroplitan Orchestra for concerts, CD and broadcasting productions alike.")
